America held hostage
Our nation's Founders were fearful of an authoritative central government. They knew from lifetimes of bitter experience that an elite ruling class with unchecked power could never be trusted. Once again, their wisdom has been proven right.
In certain respects, what is happening in America today is analogous to what occurred in the time of our Founders, when the people reached the limit of their collective endurance. When it comes to repression of the majority by an elite minority, the similarities between 2010 and with what our forebears had to contend are eerily apparent.
While not militant, the flavor of this new unrepresented oppression is of a far more insidious form. Since 2006, subjugation of America by the Democrat Congress and soon after the Obama regime has been mellowed by disingenuous pandering and enthusiastic enabling by an openly biased media. Constitutional rule of law has been compromised; those elected to represent the people have forsaken their principles and sacred oaths. All one need do to verify this truth is review the profusion of legislation and administrative rules forced upon an unwilling majority of the American people by the ruling class - and then realize that their objective to "fundamentally change" America has barely begun.
Incremental losses
The American people are being figuratively shackled and blindfolded, hostage to a systematic elimination of their inalienable rights. This should be unequivocal to all who understand how the nation's constitutional Republic functions. The supposition that Americans have lost representative governance in Washington is no longer deniable, and much harm has been done because of it. Undefended freedoms, allowed to be taken away incrementally by ruse or rule, ultimately reach"Will we place our trust in the American ideal that rights are guaranteed not by man or ruling class, but by our Creator?" a point where there is nothing left to defend.
Thankfully, only a few of the grievous harms done to the Constitution, our nation's economy, the free market, and working Americans are undoable. The damages yet to be unleashed by the regime will be horrendous but not permanent. With time and sacrifice, most of the wrongs can be righted, but a choice must be made, and the choice Americans face - starting in November - could not be clearer.
Will we choose to stand by the Constitution our forefathers bequeathed us? Will we place our trust in the American ideal that rights are guaranteed not by man or ruling class, but by our Creator? Or will we succumb to usurpation of our rights and our liberty at the hands of sociofascist authoritarians who fear individual thought, loathe the unstoppable might of a free market, and whose power is derived from and thrives upon a powerless citizenry enfeebled in a controlled, cradle-to-grave collective?
Arrogance
Since 2006, the Democrat elite ruling class has been driven by an arrogance stemming from their complete control of Congress. They have pursued a socialized agenda based upon unwanted and unnecessary laws, reckless spending, reckless borrowing, increased regulation, nationalizing industries, increased debt, and higher taxes. They did so by employing heavy-handed tactics, stifling dissent, parliamentary maneuvering, and by ignoring the will of the American majority.
Then there is the arrogance of the narcissistic Obama regime. According to Obama, the Tea Party Movement is a tool of "very powerful, special-interest lobbies and"All who oppose Obama are bitter, ignorant, racist dupes who deserve only what government decides to give them." includes those whose motivations are a little darker, that have to do with anti-immigrant sentiment or are troubled by what I represent as the president." Here's what Obama said of Fox News: "Fox News is ultimately destructive for the long-term growth of a country that has a vibrant middle class and is competitive in the world."
Translation: All who oppose Obama are bitter, ignorant, racist dupes who deserve only what government decides to give them. Fox News is dangerous because it is not part of the state-run, lap dog media propaganda machine and must therefore be neutralized or destroyed. The American people deserve and expect a say in how their elected representatives conduct America's business. The American people have, in effect, been told to shut up and swallow it.
Hard choices
There are choices to be made, starting on the Second of November. But that is only the starting point. The Democrat Congress and Obama regime are obsessed with transferring money and power away from individuals, families, communities, businesses, charities, and states, and placing it under the complete control of the federal government.
Entrepreneur Fred Dardick noted that "this nation will stand together and affirm that our rights come from our creator, and not those privileged few who inhabit the halls of power. If not, some day we too will be forced down the path to servitude, slaves to a government and debt that we did not want and did not ask for."
This November we face not simply the choice between conservative or liberal, but freedom or servitude. We cannot allow those who care nothing for the Constitution or liberty determine our future and squander America's prosperity. We must stand together to send a message that it is our country, not theirs. Our wealth and our lives are ours to do with what we choose, free from the tyranny of the elite.
Be of good cheer but remember: Once the Democrat ruling class is ousted, there are years of hard work ahead to mend all of the injury they wrought.
