It's the lies, stupid

by BD Pisani ♦ 11 aug 2010

"Truth, but not the whole truth, must be the invariable principle of every man who hath either religion, honour, or prudence. Those who violate it, may be cunning, but they are not able. Lies and perfidy are the refuge of fools and cowards."
-- Philip Dormer Stanhope Chesterfield

It's the lies, stupid

They aren't listening. They hear but choose to ignore. Month after month, day after day, an anguished American majority has voiced its concerns over the deception emanating from Washington that thus far has steamrolled on unchecked and unpunished.

Of course they have not listened; Why should they ever? Who is there to stop them?

Why should the ruling class bother themselves with trifling over annoying bleats from the rabble when they are shepherded by an enabling media and there is little the overwhelmed elected minority can do to thwart their aims? They aren't listening because they don't have to. They turned a deaf ear to the people immediately upon taking complete control of the country. They have neither the intention nor impetus to change their course of national transformation -- which is nothing less than an abandonment of traditional American principles inherent to and honored by the national majority.

Unstoppable hubris

Obama and the Democrat Congress were installed into office based upon a general belief by the electorate that they would serve constitutionally, and with the consent of the governed. This is what Americans were led to believe. This was the first big lie."With each constitutional trespass, closed-door meeting, or cleverly-disguised payoff there has been an accompaniment of corresponding lies." Instead, the American people have been treated to "The federal government can do most anything it wants in this country" by a congressional Democrat from California. They have been treated to "I'm the president now" imperiously proclaimed from an inexperienced brooder obsessed by race, a stranger with a shady past and pitifully thin résumé. This is what we will do because we cannot be stopped from doing it.

Bailouts, stimulus/payola, small business and free enterprise strangulation, industry expropriation, energy expropriation, financial expropriation, insurance expropriation, health care expropriation, taxes, spending, borrowing, unelected administrative rule, overriden lawful votes by judicial fiat, failure to safeguard sovereign territory, superseding constitutional law with international precept, shameful debacles in foreign affairs. With each constitutional trespass, closed-door meeting, or cleverly-disguised payoff there has been an accompaniment of corresponding lies.

Unstoppable lies

The American majority are aware of them now and -- after being repeatedly pole-axed by each successive outrage -- finally realize that they can no longer believe or believe in this"The ruling class has arrogantly disregarded the proven traditions of American governance whilst smugly ignoring constitutionally-mandated limits." regime. Lies about the legislative processes, lies about buying congressional votes, lies about voter fraud and intimidation, lies about racism, lies about the actual state of the economy, lies about the real unemployment figures, lies about job creation, lies about climate, lies about confiscatory taxation, lies about health care provisions, lies about border security, lies about illegal aliens, lies about the Gulf spill, lies about corruption in Congress... There is no end.

The ruling class has arrogantly disregarded the proven traditions of American governance whilst smugly ignoring constitutionally-mandated limits. All to force the United States into European-style socialism, a failing system that is alien, repressive, and abhorrent to Americans. Of course they won't listen. They will have the nation's wealth and cradle-to-grave oversight, regardless of the destruction caused.

Unstoppable reaction

How many of you have heard a relative, friend, or neighbor utter "I can't stand what they are doing to my country" or "I want my country back?" How many of you have thought thusly even though you may never have given voice to such sentiment? Chances are good that you in the majority have all experienced such feelings at one time or another.

If so, be advised that your deeply-felt anguish is being purposefully twisted into something mean and foul by the radical Left at the behest of the ruling class. You are being falsely portrayed as racist and ignorant -- just another in a webby mess of lies."The America for which you cry out is still there; it has merely fallen into short-term disrepair." Lacking morally-based core beliefs, leftists simply cannot fathom the emotional gravity revealed by such honest, heart-felt torment, so they must resort to disparagement. Those that do this profess to understand patriotism, but they shall never know it.

Do not despair. The America for which you cry out is still there; it has merely fallen into short-term disrepair. The America for which you lament has suffered at the hands of a radically liberal minority, a minority that in just a scant eighteen months has proven itself to be a failure in most every way measurable. Take comfort in the reality that while the sociofascists revel in acrimonious attacks upon our traditional and fire-tested values, ethics, and the Constitution, they are only in the position to do so because -- with the assistance of a complicit media -- they repeatedly lied to you.

Be of good cheer. They have delivered the first blows to humble America, yet although bloodied the Republic still stands. The time for counter-punching is drawing near.
