Deciding the right course
We as Americans have, in just a few hundred years, revolutionized much in life. We produced the greatest standard of living ever, and shared how to do it with the world. Our citizens flourish thanks to God-given natural rights and the opportunity to fulfill any human aspiration imaginable. Yet those who now rule strive for mediocrity -- or worse.
It's remarkable, really. The United States has freely given so much to the world while nurturing its own that to this day, desperate people flock to America by the millions each year, just to breathe the clean air of freedom.
One must wonder if any of those now in power, those perpetuating our our continuing economic meltdown and gross erosion of representative governance, ever considers why so many of those trekking here can't better themselves in their own lands? Why can't they experience the same natural rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? Why do so many literally risk death to reach America?
Why indeed.
What was
Since humanity first clawed its way into existence and people organized into clans, groups, families, and nations, no group of human beings has ever produced and shared the wealth, freedom, opportunity, prosperity, and security for its people and others as has the United States. It is this author's opinion that the United States of America, throughout the span of humanity, is simply"The Founders constitutionally limited government intrusions to guarantee individual freedoms." the greatest nation, by any definition, in history. Apparently it has been and remains the opinion of many others as well.
This amazing success occurred -- in little more than an eye-blink of historical context -- because at our nation's inception we did something unheard of for the time. The Founders constitutionally limited government intrusions to guarantee individual freedoms. No other nation ever conceived or practiced such a radical idea. Over the span of time since, many nations have emulated our style of governance; None have been able to fully safeguard against a meddlesome central authority intruding on the societal and fiscal bounds of its citizens.
Today, however, Americans are witnessing an unprecedented, cleverly-crafted government assault upon those who voice concern as they see liberties they once took for granted eroding away.
What is
The current regime gives only the briefest, merest nod to the ideas and ideals of freedom, individualism, and independent thought. It could care less about tarnishing the Constitution or the resulting loss of individual liberty and representative government.
America is now suffocating under the machinations of a demagogue who matured through the teachings of very angry, very militant, very anti-American mentors.
We now have a Democrat Party that managed an effective propaganda campaign bursting with nebulous slogans, false promises, outright lies, and subliminal messages -- and that created a Messiah out of an enigmatic,"It's about the Obama regime's sociofascist dream that is now perilously close to becoming reality." inexperienced community organizer who has fallen short in every measure.
We are insulted by a chattering class that has finally come clean with America -- baring its outright support of and devotion to the Democrat Party and the regime. Hollywood and State-run Media continue to ignore or gloss over Obama's undocumented childhood, nefarious past, troubling associates, lifelong role models, outright lies, and complete lack of experience while at the same time savaging any and all opponents and their families.
We have a Democrat Congress that ignores the American people, that spends our grandchildren into debtor's prison, that rams through unwanted, harmful legislation few of them understand, whose members insult their own constituencies, and whose leaders routinely wipe their feet on the cherished document they swore a sacred oath to uphold and defend. To sate its gluttony for power and payola, the Democrat Congress has prostituted its soul.
None of this is about "recovery." None of this is about a better America. It's about the Obama regime's sociofascist dream that is now perilously close to becoming reality.
America will pay
If you have paid attention to Obama, you know that he believes the Constitution to be a deeply-flawed document, and has compared present-day America to the Nazi regime. He considers the Constitution and the United States of America as part and parcel to the greatest failure in the experiment of social and economic"We have an egocentric ideologue presiding over an American decline of his own scheming." justice and equality that the human race has ever endured. Thus the Obama mantra: America must be punished and forced equality through redistribution of wealth.
Every teleprompted speech, every boast, every promise is geared to placate or dupe an increasingly angry America. However, every action the regime has rammed through since Obama's economic malaise took hold has either failed or worsened our economic plight.
Just as intended.
We have an egocentric ideologue presiding over an American decline of his own scheming. Why else do you shut down offshore drilling that will eliminate a hundred thousand jobs? Why else do you punish businesses with job-killing regulations and business-killing taxation? Why else would you -- amidst economic meltdown -- implement the largest tax increases in the history of the nation this coming January? Why else would you stagger an already reeling economy with more spending of money we don't have?
To purposely marginalize the private sector of the United States.
Decisions coming soon
Very soon now, Americans must make some hard choices if they wish to steer a course back toward a successful and secure United States. Primary and general elections within the next few months will determine which America will survive the current regime.
Certainly one direction is that of decline and impoverished mediocrity as outlined by Wayne Allen Root in his commentary entitled, Obama's Agenda: "Obama and his regime have created a vast and rapidly expanding constituency of voters dependent on big government; a vast privileged class of public employees who work for big government; and a government dedicated to destroying capitalism and installing themselves as socialist rulers by overwhelming the system."
Another is the America that was and that can be again, the America envisioned, fought for, and created by our Founders.
