Warming $cam Begets Tax $cam
Senators Kerry and Lieberman will shamelessly introduce the American Power Act (taxpayer-killing Cap-and-Tax Scam) today -- a vastly expensive program that is not based in reality or common sense, and has no chance of achieving its intended goals:
We may as well begin at the beginning. There is no global warming. It is a fantasy.
There is, as there has always been, normal cyclic climate change. Our climate is changing, just as it has always done, and always will. In fact, the only proven constant about our climate is that it changes.
Whatever warming occurred followed the end of an abbreviated Ice Age that began circa 1350. Around 1850, the Earth's temperature increased about one degree Fahrenheit to its current level. This is reality. The fantasy stems from those who have promoted the lies, falsified data, and purposefully spread panic, hysteria, and sensationalist rubbish.
The entire Anthropogenic Global Warming fantasy has been a hoax, a scam, and a fraud from its inception at the hands of corrupted scientists, greed- and power-enthused politicians, and a United Nations Hell-bent on pilfering the wealth of the industrialized West.
It is now well-documented that they have engaged in exaggeration and deception on every single aspect of climate change. Enter Kerry and Lieberman.
Punish America
Coupled with the equally offensive and economy-killing House bill submitted by Democrats Waxman and Markey (2009 American Clean Energy and Security Act), the Senate Cap-and-Tax Act adds up to double indemnity in the political folly department. It boils down to simple common sense: One cannot add huge new energy costs and energy restrictions without producing an increase in prices for products here or the flight of manufacturers to countries where no cap-and-tax costs apply.
And mind you, this entire hoax is based upon fraudulent science.

Madness defined
The proposed Kerry-Lieberman legislation mandates reductions in greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuels via a Cap-and-Tax system for power plants and, eventually, factories -- with strict curbs on the types of trading that would be allowed. It also requires oil companies to obtain emissions permits at a set price not set by the trading market, a ploy known as a "Linked Fee."
This is Democrat Congress speak for gasoline tax and resulting fuel cost increases.
And what does John Francois Kerry have to say about it all? You know -- that Kerry -- THE John Kerry who never met a lie he didn't like:
"The oil spill creates urgency," Kerry said in an interview Tuesday. "In my judgment, the oil spill says, get this done folks. You've got to get to it and to change America's energy posture."
Translation: We'll use every scare tactic and political ruse in the book to raise your taxes, disenfranchise your children, change the way you live your lives, and control you from cradle to grave.
Patrick Creighton, spokesman for the free-market Institute for Energy Research, paints a more realistic portrait:
"This bill is a compilation of just about every bad idea that has emerged in the energy debate. Two things are certain if this bill becomes law: energy prices will skyrocket, and jobs will be shipped overseas."
Lies and nonsense
The Obama regime and Democrat Congress are trying to make the American public believe that Cap-and-Tax and all of the other "Clean Energy" and "Green Jobs" claptrap will reduce greenhouse gas emissions while not significantly increasing consumer prices.
They absolutely know better, and they are lying.
At a time when many Americans have all they can do to survive with the bare necessities, America's ruling sociofascist regime is relentlessly pursuing its quest for absolute power. For those of you fortunate enough to still have Senators who will listen to you, start contacting them immediately.
