Warming whitewash
The climate scamming cult can no longer pick and choose scare tactics.
If one took the time to actually review a chronology of the Earth's geological climate modifications for the past two million years, that person, particularly an Anthropogenic (human-induced) Global Warming (AGW) cultist, would readily discern that climate change exists. It would also be readily discernible that Earth's climate has been and still is spectacularly unstable.
My, this is a bit on the awkward side for cultists now, isn't it? In fact, both warming and cooling occurred numerous times before Humankind was ever a twinkling in God's eye. The warmist cult's catastrophic AGW predictions based upon climate change have happened before -- all of them -- and will absolutely, positively happen again.
Oh dear. What to do? How to sell the scam?
Create a crisis, manipulate pseudo-scientific data, conspire with a certain worldwide political ideology, manipulate data, disingenuously collude with state-run media in its presentation, manipulate data, brainwash the young, manipulate data, and frighten the huddled masses into redistributing their wealth, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. Wayback machine
Prior to a few million years ago, the Earth did not have permanent ice sheets. Since then, however, the planet has experienced at least 17 warming and cooling cycles (many scientists say in excess of 30). It is estimated that these cyclical changes included glaciations (Ice Ages) lasting about 100,000 years, interrupted by warm periods of about 10,000 years. It is generally agreed that the last glaciation began approximately 70,000 years ago and ended about 10,000 years ago. What happened next? Here is a chronology courtesy of Dan at SodaHead:
15,000 years ago: The last glaciation reaches a peak. Continental glaciers cover much of the sub-polar and polar areas of Earth -- ice sheets hundreds of meters thick and of more than 37 million cubic kilometers. Average Earth surface temperature is estimated to be 6 degrees Celsius cooler than today. Sea level more than 90 meters lower than today.
15,000-6,000 years ago: Global warming begins. Causes: unknown. Sheets of ice melt, sea levels rise. 37 million cubic kilometers of ice melt in about 9,000 years. 9,500 years ago, the last of the Northern European sheets of ice leave Scandinavia. 7,500 years ago, the last American ice sheets leave Canada. Warming is highly erratic globally.
8,000-4,000 years ago: Earth surface is about 3 degrees C warmer than today. Arctic Ocean is ice-free, mountain glaciers have disappeared from Norway, the Alps, and the Rocky Mountains. Oceans are three meters higher than today. Sahara Desert is humid with Savannah-like climate, giraffes, and other Savannah fauna.
4,000 BC-900 AD: Global cooling begins. Causes: unknown. Arctic Ocean freezes over, mountain glaciers again form in the Rocky Mountains, Norway, and the Alps. Black Sea freezes over several times, ice forms on the Nile River. Northern Europe becomes much wetter. Sea level drops to approximately its present level. Temperatures on the surface of the Earth are about 0.5-1 degree C cooler than at present.
AD 1000-1500: Rapid but uneven climate warming in Northern Hemisphere. Causes: unknown. North Atlantic becomes ice-free and Norse exploration to North America takes place, with colonies in Greenland exporting crop surpluses to Scandinavia. Wine grapes grow in southern Britain. The temperatures are from 3-8 degrees C warmer than currently. The period lasts only a brief 500 years. Earth experiences as much warming between the Eleventh and Thirteenth Centuries as is now predicted by AGW cultists for the next century.
1430-1880: Rapid but uneven climate cooling in Northern Hemisphere. Causes: unknown. Norwegian glaciers advance to their most distant extension in post-glacial times. Northern forests disappear, tundra emerges. Severe winters in most of Europe and North America. Rivers get colder, snows heavier, summers cool and brief. Earth surface temperatures are about 0.5-1.5 degrees C cooler than present. United States has "year with no summer" in 1816. Snow falls in New England in June. Widespread failure of crops and deaths due to hypothermia.
1880-1940: Climate warming in Northern Hemisphere. Causes: unknown. Mountain glaciers recede, Arctic Ocean ice again melts.
1940-1977: Climate cooling in Northern Hemisphere. Causes: unknown. Temperatures cooler than currently. Some mountain glaciers recede, others advance. State-run media warns of catastrophes due to the "New Glaciation."
1977-present: Warming period. Summer of 2003 said to be the warmest since the Middle Ages. State-run media warns of catastrophes due to "Global Warming."
Causes of catastrophic AGW suddenly discovered -- the United States and exclusive United States use of CO2-generating fossil fuels.
Employ whatever works
Thanks to a landslide of corroboration that falsifying data and "cooking the books" to support a cultist theorem was and still is rampant, the entire AGW argument, along with the integrity of its perpetrators, is collapsing. The pseudo-science of AGW is now rightly questioned by a significant majority of the world's citizens. That is why Copenhagen was nothing more than bad burlesque.
Even so, AGW cult members will not intone a different chant. Far from it. They merely adapt any refutation to serve their lie.
Hot summers, warm winters? AGW. Unusual cold weather? AGW. Drought, hurricanes, floods? AGW. Lack of drought, hurricanes, floods? AGW. Snow, no snow, light snow, heavy snow? AGW. Forest fires? AGW. Haiti earthquake? AGW. High divorce rate? AGW.
AGW? George W. Bush's evil, greedy, world-hating America.
Make it fit
British writer Paul Johnson noted that Sir Karl Raimund Popper, acclaimed economist and philosopher, studied the evaluation of evidence and criteria to distinguish a genuine scientific theorem from a false one.
Popper offered the Falsifiability Principle: A theorem must be subjected to strict empirical tests. If it fails it must be discarded as untrue. Popper added that the practice of altering or enlarging the theorem's evidentiary data -- by its authors or benefactors -- to accommodate a premeditated conclusion automatically scratched the theorem from any serious consideration.
We now know that several dozen claims made in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) 2007 AGW report representing "consensus" (there is no such thing in science) of 2,500 climate scientists have been shown to be blatantly fraudulent, obtained with improper scientific method, or disingenuously created.
The Man-made Global Warming flimflam is vague, imprecisely formulated, unverifiable, and its questionable, pseudo-scientific method to gather evidence has been extensively altered even further by its authors to fit their ever-enlarging criteria parameters and political agenda.
AGW overwhelmingly and miserably fails the Falsifiability Principle.
Reality
Just as The Club of Rome (leading member: Mikhail Gorbachev) and others such as statist Paul Ehrlich argued in the 1960s that world resources were on the brink of exhaustion, they and every other radical environmental group continue in the same vein today. They further the AGW scam and have been very successful at doing so.
These groups are vehemently anti-capitalist, anti-freedom, and pro-statist. It is therefore very easy to understand why they primarily target the United States and its economy for destruction, or at least significant decline.
And here in America? Obama and the Democrat Congress are still dedicated to their Carbon Cap and Tax scheme, a money-grab that with devastate free market businesses, harm families, and indebt the nation. They are aggressively seeking to diminish the nation's wealth, power, and prestige under the guise of "saving the planet." In reality it is a flimsy excuse for generational theft and usurpation of constitutional rights based upon an unproven, unverifiable, and discredited fantasy.
It is said that if a person is anti-American, leftist, and a secularist, there is a good chance that person is an AGW cultist. What does that say of our government?
