Obama owns it all

The real ObamaIn the nearly eight months since Barack Obama stammered and stuttered his way through the Presidential Oath of Office, he has striven mightily to force what was an economic slowdown into a fully-blown economic meltdown -- no mean feat by any standard.

All while incessantly claiming he inherited everything we are experiencing today.

However, in order to bring an economy as powerful (albeit weakened) as ours to its knees, it took more than what was done up to Election Day. It took a great deal more of premeditated strategizing coupled with a recent gaggle of legislative scullduggery to pull it off.

It is evident that in just a few short months, Obama and the Democrat Congress have completed some of what they set out to do. It is also illustrative that with the pliant assistance of state-run media, they are triumphantly gloating over their "accomplishments."

The scapegoat ploy

I say some but not all, because the American people are slowly awakening to the fact that the now trite hope and change mantra that once held them in dream-like thrall has morphed into something darkly artificial,"They didn't inherit any of it; They own it because they did it." murky, and intrinsically un-American.

This coupled with (or perhaps because of) their recent failures of lying to the American people, viciously denigrating millions of concerned Americans simply because they disagree, overblown state-run media propaganda, email snitch squads, and union thuggery at town hall meetings, Obama and the Democrat Congress must use a scapegoat to cloak their incompetence -- President Bush.

Amidst plummeting approval ratings for Obama and Congress, we have been told and will continue to hear that everything wrong today was inherited from President Bush.

Obama's one major problem with the "I inherited it" ploy is that it's not working. It has no traction because it's not true.

The failed TARP, failed industry and banking seizures, failed stimulus, failed clunker cash, tax increases resulting in diminishing tax revenues, massive unemployment, massive business failures, quadrupling the previous deficit, and spending us into a debt of $17 trillion by 2019. They didn't inherit any of it; They own it because they did it.

Egotistical refusal of blame

If we compare just a few key economic indicators from last Election Day to what has transpired since Obama and the Democrat Congress began their campaign to pilfer America's wealth and fundamentally socialize the nation, stewardship of this sorry mess becomes clearer:

The Deficit is up 50.6 percent from the Bush deficit of $400 billion to the Obama deficit of $1.7 trillion (and skyrocketing upward).

Unemployment is up 56.6 percent from an Election Day rate of 6.2 percent to an Obama rate of 9.7 percent (and climbing).

Gross Domestic Product is down .25 percent from $114.3 trillion on Election Day to Obama's $14.1 trillion (and dropping).

Housing Starts are down 11.1 percent from an Election Day rate of 660,000 units to Obama's 580,000 units.

Food Stamps enrollment rose 10.6 percent from an Election Day figure of 31.2 million Americans to an Obama figure of 34.7 million Americans (and rising).

Failing Home Mortgages are up 50.6 percent from an Election Day rate of 15.2 percent of all mortgages to Obama's 25 percent.

Disposable Personal Income is down .41 percent from an Election Day amount of $32,520 to an Obama amount of $32,390 (and falling).

Don't give up

Remember, every one of their miracle plans was going to turn things around. When one didn't work, another popped up in its place. And all the while Obama and the Democrat Congress are incrementally taking over sizable"This is the opposite course to take if one is serious about turning the economy around." segments of the U.S. economy, they're spending vast amounts of money they don't have, printing more valueless money, increasing business taxes, and increasing the nation's debt burden.

This is the opposite course to take if one is serious about turning the economy around.

Obama and Congress have failed to restrain spending because their schemes to transfer the nation's wealth from the producers to the takers, and ultimate transformation of our constitutional republic into a soft fascist state require an economic crisis of epic proportions. Which is exactly what their scheming has nurtured.

There is no profound, hidden wisdom that anchors what they do, nor are there any logical means to recovery by spending our nation into first mediocrity and then ruin.

Obama and the Democrat Party are slowly but surely strangling the foremost cure for economic malaise -- American free enterprise.

The insidious quest for power and statist domination being demonstrated by Obama and the Democrat Congress are fueled by their own hubris, perceived untouchability, and utter contempt for hundreds of millions of average Americans.

Don't believe the lies any more, don't give up the fight, and don't give up on your country -- you are making a difference and despite overwhelming odds, you are winning.

Hype and Chains.
