Reckoning in 2010
In December of 2006, Americans heard a jubilant Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, fresh on the heels of a Democrat sweep of Congress, praise voters for "thinking" and "saying no to ideology."
In December of 2008, Americans heard a smug Pelosi and Reid, Democrat stranglehold of Congress in hand, praise voters and promise "the most ethical, transparent, and bipartisan Congress in the history of the country."
We now know what a con job that turned out to be.
There is no need to repeat all of the schemes that have been perpetrated thus far; No need to once again list all of the stealth legislation conceived in secret by special-interest groups, deceitful congressional rule changes, failing programs, theft of American wealth, and the incessant stream of outright lies cascading over a trusting American people.
Non-stop falsehoods and failures
Unfortunately, those Americans who were duped in 2006 and 2008 are reaping the toxic crop that sprung from the tainted seeds they unwittingly sowed. But in stark contrast to their silent sufferance prior to Obama, Americans by the tens of millions are now awakening to the sham.
They are finally opening their eyes, finding their voices, and demanding accountability for the elite statist charade that has posed as a constitutional republic these past three years.
It has taken our once-mighty nation to be brought to her knees, but Americans are waking up to the outright lies, wealth pilferage, uncontrolled debt, and power-grabbing schemes being conducted right before their eyes.
And yet these same Americans are now being labeled as Nazis, unhinged, hate mobs, and Brown Shirts by the very people they boosted into power.
It's what they do, not what they say
Ironically, thanks to an obviously loyal and obedient state-run media -- and the likes of Pelosi, Reid, and Obama themselves --"Regardless of what Democrats say during elections or falsely promise, they always act as liberals and govern as liberals." Americans are now discerning the truth. A solid majority of decent, hard-working, law-abiding Americans who twice believed the fantasy now know they were deceived and manipulated. Here is exactly why:
The past two elections exemplify fraudulent politics. Although they had ample warning of what was to come, decent, too-trusting Americans succumbed to the propaganda and, well, here we all are now in a fine mess.
However, regardless of what Democrats say during elections or falsely promise, they always, always act as liberals and govern as liberals — thereby negating whatever they have attained through deception.
This is an axiom that has once again proven true.
But now we're stuck
During the last two elections, the Democrat Party took control of Congress by directing state-run media to incessantly tout corruption and morality issues against only the Republican candidates while excluding those of vulnerable Democrat candidates.
They kept their radical leadership out of the limelight — no television appearances, no interviews, no sound bites. The DNC also hand-picked and funded new congressional Democrat candidates who projected socially moderate or conservative values -- candidates who must tow the line or risk no DNC support for their re-election.
And of course, we conservatives were sickened by Republicans acting like Democrats. We stayed away from the polls or protest-voted for that with which we are now stuck. We are only left with the hope that the freedoms lost and economic damage done to America these past three horrific years are not permanent and can be remedied.
Remember
Remember the lies you were told and must still suffer. Remember the deeply insulting names you are being called by congressional leaders and the president"Remember the lies you were told. Remember the insulting names you are being called ... for exercising American rights." for simply exercising American rights. Remember failed bailouts, failed stimulus, the largest spending spree, wealth transfer, and debt accumulation in the history of the nation. Remember legislation cooked up in the black of night and passed even though Congress doesn't know what it says, much less what it means for Americans.
Remember the government usurpation of private industry, financial sector, energy, health care, education, massive tax increases, and weakened dollar. Remember the White House Snitch-On-Your-Neighbor email scheme. Remember 16 percent unemployment, the death of small businesses, and 36 unaccountable policy czars controlling the nation.
Stay focused until 2010
Look for the Democrat Party, like they did with Paul Wellstone, to use Kennedy's death to deceive you into supporting Government-run Health Care Rationing. Look for 2010 Democrat Party congressional candidates who sound like Republicans but who will vote in lock-step with Pelosi and Reid. Look for state-run media to step up its attacks on congressional and Obama opponents while telling you how wonderful everything is.
Look for worsening international relations and the growing disdain for a weakened America by foes and so-called friends alike. Americans are much worse off today than they were last year or three years ago -- yet look for unheard-of new taxes and the call for "greater personal sacrifice."
Finally, look for the Republican Party to get it through its collective, country-clubbing, elitist, we-can-be-sensitive-too head that the days of conservatives supporting what has become nothing more than a distorted, fun-house mirror image of the Democrat Party are over.
If they don't wake up while the rest of America is rising up, they are finished as a political force and liberty is doomed.
