Sister Sarah yet lives
This past week, the figurative viscera of Sarah Palin were exhaustively examined by a confederacy of knife-wielding, Chattering Class prelates to divine her doom. She has been proclaimed mortuus ut orbis terrarum.
The dust raised by Palin's week-long resignation kerfuffle is settling now that the big dog punditocrats have let loose their frenzied effusions.
Time now for a lowly back-bencher's measurement:
Feh.
Their effeteness blinds them
One must remember that many of those who have written off Sarah Palin are the intellectual elites of every political stripe. They are the same professional
Net mavens, the same State-run Media flacks who have invested years and taken pleasure in ridiculing average Americans.
They have built careers and earned notoriety by denigrating the faiths of our fathers, deriding the values of Heartland America, and mocking the wisdom of tradition. And yet their pipe-dream alternatives do not work, their smoke-shrouded illusions forever fail.
Do you really think that this thuggery could ever treat civilly with a woman who lives and breathes love of family, respect for community, individualism, American exceptionalism, faith, courage, and reverence for tradition?
Our mentor is also hers
When judging Sarah Palin it is good to remember Ronald Wilson Reagan, our modern patriarch of conservatism. Ronald Reagan was despised by the country club elites of his own political"She fills a vital niche; Sarah talks to people rather than down to them." party, considered an intellectual lightweight, and dismissed as persona non grata.
Yet he prevailed by taking his message directly to the American people. Reagan was and still is revered by Americans and people of the world alike.
To blue-bloods and others of their ilk, it never occurs to them that average Americans like you and me may be searching for a straight-talking candidate from the heartland who truly believes in and invokes the Holy Trinity of personal freedom, limited government, and fiscal responsibility.
Sarah Palin is exactly that. She personifies the contrast between decent Americans -- normal, down-to-earth Americans -- and the statists who endeavor to manipulate our lives. She fills a vital niche; Palin talks with people rather than down to them.
Fear the message, hate the messenger
And she scares the living Hell out of the pretenders. Think not? Then consider:
Why do the professional politicos, State-run Media, Hollywood, late-night buffoons, RINO turncoats,"All of her qualities are plain to see for those who bother to look." and Democrat Party toadies continue to relentlessly attack her politics, background, education, heartland accent, home, husband, children, clothing, hair style, and anything else even remotely associated?
Why incessantly, almost maniacally continue to demonize someone who has been cast into the political dust bin, who is considered nothing more than a backwater yokel and of no consequence? Why indeed.
So is Sarah Palin politically dead to the world?
Hardly. She possesses intelligence and uncanny strength, faith, and resolve. All are plain to see for those who bother to look.
Twain-like, the news of her death has been greatly exaggerated.
