Global scamming hour

by BD Pisani ♦ 26 March 2009

Here in the Northern Hemisphere we learned that we just endured one of the coldest winters on record. We learned that to initiate a blizzard, mind-numbing cold, or record snowfall, all that was necessary was to schedule a Man-made Global Scamming rally hosted by evil alGore.

We learned that contrary to the cultish sermonizing of high priest alGore and acolyte James Hansen, our climate has actually been cooling for the last ten years. But we also learned that despite this, we are slavishly readying America for Earth Hour.

Say What?

Gimmickry and gimcrackery

For those of you not up to speed, Australia's Environment and Climate Change Minister David Templeman explains the silliness (yes, the Aussies actually have a cult minister):

"When Earth Hour first started in Sydney in 2007, people concerned about global warming wanted to do something to inspire people to take action on climate change. It was decided that switching off Sydney's lights for an hour would be easy and would make a dramatic statement."

Meh.

Here's the propaganda incantation mantra explanation:

On Saturday, March 28, 8:30 pm (your local time), individuals, businesses, governments, and organizations around the world are invited to turn off their lights for one hour -- Earth Hour -- to make a global statement of concern about climate change and to demonstrate commitment to finding solutions.

Meh2.

I have no doubt that many of you reading this are disturbed to note that your own local governments are meekly falling into line with the cultists, and will participate in the Earth Hour sham.

So drink the Kool-Aid already

In previous B2J climate-related articles, you were informed that consensus in true science is an impossibility - a myth. You were offered a common-sensical refutation of the validity of man-made global warming. You were warned that the Drive-by Media was shilling for a political party and agenda-driven special-interest groups.

And even if you scoffed at common sense, it appears that ever-increasing numbers of the world's citizens and scientists are not.

The American Physical Society (APS), an organization representing nearly 50,000 physicists, has reversed its stance on climate change and is now proclaiming that many of its members emphatically do not believe in human-induced global warming.

And on March 11, Gallup Daily Polling found that a record-high 41 percent now say it is exaggerated. This represents the highest level of public skepticism about mainstream reporting on global warming seen in more than a decade of Gallup polling on the subject.

Speak out against the madness

There is a growing backlash of Americans rejecting what they see as climate scare tactics, as well as the fact that global warming alarmists are becoming increasingly desperate -- thus their increased personal attacks and media distortions.

Now that the Democrat government is disingenuously putting in place measures to control your home energy use and national energy supplies, it is vital to our nation's economy that we debunk the cultish hysteria of Man-made Global Warming.

This issue is too important to our generation and future generations to allow distortions and media propaganda to derail the economic health of our nation.
