I am watching them

Early last evening, Dr. Mark Levin, constitutional lawyer, author, radio talent, and brilliant conservative intellectual, opened his program of 18 March with a sobering monologue. His powerful recitation starkly outlined the murky docket and subversive tactics of America's new statist administration.

Dr. Levin clearly and concisely laid bare the drastic measures Obama and the Democrat Congress are employing to fundamentally dismantle our nation's founding principles. To label Levin's exercise as troubling is an understatement, but such tyranny must be made public and repeated by those with the courage to do so.

Please take the time to read this brief excerpt from Dr. Levin's monologue, then listen to his entire first segment, in his own emotionally-charged words. If you are a Conservative and love our Republic, you will never more wisely invest ten minutes of your valuable time:

"... I am watching the politicians in Washington demanding the names of private citizens who received pay packages they don't agree with.

I am watching them preparing to pass legislation to confiscate their private property from them.

I am watching them destroying one industry after another, sabotaging one industry after another: Banking, Housing, Automobile, Energy, Health Care.

I am watching them tear this country apart.

I am watching them and listening to them use extreme Marxist language to condemn private citizens and private enterprise.

I am watching them destroy the stock market and the pensions and other investments that so many rely on.

I am watching them massively expand the size and authority of the federal government, in every direction.

I am watching them prepare to violate the First Amendment to the Constitution as they focus their designs on talk radio.

I am watching them prepare to violate the Second Amendment as they focus their designs on the right to bear arms.

I am watching them as they violate the Fifth Amendment as they assault private property rights through direct confiscation and indirect regulatory takings.

I am watching them violate the Tenth Amendment as they stomp all over the authority of the States.

I am watching them nationalize local education.

I am watching them destroy the Census System by paying the criminal enterprise ACORN to help recruit census counters.

I am watching them unilaterally disarm against the terrorists by undoing some of the most effective Bush administration policies.

I am watching them turn once again against our military by preparing to slash the Pentagon's budget and force our soldiers to pay for their own injury-related expenses.

I am watching them expand abortion and same-sex marriage, and prepare to nominate left-wing judges who will uphold all of it.

We are seeing as a nation the consequences of electing a statist ideologue to our highest office. More and more the rhetoric coming from the Democrat White House and the Democrat Party and the Democrat leaders in Congress sounds like the kind of demagoguery we hear from the Castro brothers, from Hugo Chavez, and from tyrants of the past ..."

If we are going to be able to stop the statist reformation of the United States, we must understand that they are serious about dismantling our beloved Republic and devolving it into something no true American will understand or want.

We as conservatives must set aside internal bickering, sniping at our own, and considering or condoning statist dogma while by doing so abandoning conservative principles. Statists will never relent, never accommodate, never give up their quest to destroy the America we cherish as defined by the Constitution.

We must reject their soft tyranny and resolutely defend and proclaim the constitutional rule of law -- and liberty, the cornerstone of conservatism.
