The Messiah's Illinois mess

by BD Pisani - 2008 dec 09

It just gets better, day by day. First, Illinois Democrat Governor Rod Blagojevich and his chief of staff, John Harris, were arrested by FBI agents on federal corruption charges Tuesday morning. Next, Obama's close friend and banker, convicted felon Tony Rezko, is facing a grand jury complaint about his fraudulent land deals that also happen to involve The Messiah.

And for the icing on the cake, Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald, that Democrat Party ambulance chaser of Valerie Plame fame, is now being roundly criticized by Democrats for the way he's handling the Blagojevich case.

You remember Merry Fitzmas, don't you? Good old Fitz, of whom Democrat Senator Dick Durbin said, "He (Fitz) doesn't have a political bone in his body. Let him work on the Plame case to find the leak." Apparently, that was then, this is now. Now he's anathema to all Democrats.

This is going to be good ... there is more, much more, from selling Obama's senate seat to kiting checks. Stay tuned and enjoy the President-elect, Paragon of Virtue!

Attention shoppers! Irony spill in Aisle 7!

PS: Democrat Blagojevich can legally name Obama's senate replacement from jail! Illinois is quite a state, eh? And you have to wonder ... why step in and make arrests now? Why cut off the investigation? Are there bigger fish being protected here, hmm?
