Miami, Iraq: lower murder rates than blue U.S. cities
By now you've all heard that the City of Miami's murder rate and U.S. military deaths in Iraq are now at their lowest ever. Oh wait -- what am I thinking? -- you DON'T know because that would require an honest and ethical Drive-by Media to report it.
Remember back before the mainstream Drive-by Media became the propaganda mouthpiece for the Democrat Party? Remember when they used to trumpet honest-to-goodness good news for America on every airwave and in every newspaper? If you do, you are an older American because media ethics and objectivity began to die in the 1960s.
But first:
Domestic good news: Miami
While all the rest of America's major cities suffer under the rigid control of ham-fisted leftists who unconstitutionally impose total gun bans or ridiculously harsh restrictions on gun ownership,
Miami can boast of its first murder-free month since 1966.
That's right ... Miami. You know, the Miami Vice-in', Cocaine Cowboy-in', Mariel Boatlift-in' Miami. According to an article in today's Miami Herald, the total number of days without a murder is actually greater than one month, 35 days and counting.
You know, the Miami where honest, law-abiding citizens carry concealed weapons and have the right to shoot when defending themselves or others in dire need. The Miami where all of the anti-gun nuts and anti-American organizations said there would be blood in the streets if people opted for their constitutional right to bear arms.
That Miami. Those law-abiding citizens.
War on Terror good news: Iraq
U.S. deaths in Iraq fell in October to their lowest monthly level of the war, matching the record low of 13 fatalities suffered in July. Iraqi deaths fell to their lowest monthly levels of the year. Eight of the 13 Americans died in combat, most of them in northern Iraq where al-Qaida and other Sunni insurgent groups remain active.
According to the My Way News report by Robert Reid, the sharp drop in American fatalities in Iraq reflects the overall security improvements across the country following the Sunni revolt against al-Qaida and the rout suffered by Shiite extremists in fighting last spring in Basra and Baghdad.
It also reflects the fact that the U.S. strategy of turning security over to the Iraqis is working as well -- 
more and more Iraqi forces are now engaging the terrorists than are American troops.
You remember our troops, don't you? You know, the stressed-out murderers, butchers, and rapists according to John Kerry, John Murtha, Barack Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Dick Durbin, Chuckie Schumer, and almost every other Democrat Party member of government?
You remember Iraq? You know, the war John Kerry, John Murtha, Barack Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Dick Durbin, Chuckie Schumer, and almost every other Democrat Party member of government said was lost? The war where the Democrat Party embraced defeat?
You know, the war where the Democrat Party's lap dogs in the agenda-driven, unethical Drive-by Media listed the numbers of troop dead and wounded every single day when fighting was fiercest, all to harm a sitting president? The war where the agenda-driven, unethical Drive-by Media ran photo after photo and story after story about our boys and girls fallen in combat, lie after lie about our wonderful boys and girls committing atrocities, all to harm a sitting president?
Those brave troops. That Iraq.
Domestic bad news: U.S. blue cities
Oh yes, back to those urban cesspools of crime ... what about them? What about the Democrat Party fiefdoms of New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Boston, Detroit, St. Louis, San Francisco, New Orleans, et. al.?
You just have to ask yourself: Why are their murder and violent crime rates astronomical, even worse than a war zone, and what do they all have in common?
Well, you know two things in common because I already told you: 1. They are controlled by the far Left; and 2. They deny constitutional rights to their citizens, thereby exposing them to violent crimes perpetrated by illegally-armed criminals, with no way to defend themselves.
This is indisputable. The FBI and other law enforcement agencies with relevant statistics covering the past 20 years substantiate the fact that violent crime rates are significantly lower in jurisdictions where law-abiding citizens are able to arm and therefore defend themselves. Thugs know the pickings are easier -- and safer -- if the victims are helpless.
Socialists are killing America's cities
In the interest of fairness, the article cited above about Miami indicated that fewer people may be dying after a violent attack due to advances made in emergency medical training, equipment, and response times. Sounds reasonable, doesn't it?
Yup, it sounds reasonable if you believe that the City of Miami is the only city where all of these equipment, triage, and response miracles are taking place.
What about Chicago, murder capital of the nation? What about Washington, D.C., recently deposed murder capital of the nation? What about all of our major cities, each at one time or another the murder capital of our nation?
Do they all possess antiquated, Beverly Hillbillies-like Emergency Medical Services (EMS)? Are they all situated under some sort of magical time warp dome? Have their mayors decided to save money by doing away with emergency medical units?
Hardly.
There are only a few significant factors which bind together all of these blighted, slowly-degenerating violent crime pits. See if you can figure it out -- and wasting more trillions of our hard-earned tax dollars on them is not an option.
