Anti-gun nuts, crime, and other mullings

A recently-released FBI crime report is causing a brouhaha in Bradyville and angst in Anti-Gun Land. Why? Because the anti-gun nuts' disingenuous, carefully-planned propaganda and manipulated data have yet again been exposed to be egregious; Falsehoods compiled and presented to scare a well-meaning but gullible public.

The hard fact is that we have been and are being lied to on a daily basis so that a select cadre of socialist elites and their accomplices can consolidate yet more political power, control vast quantities of money garnered from wielding that power, as well as eliminating from our society yet another constitutionally-guaranteed freedom and safeguard against oppressive government.

Do you honestly believe these limousine liberal fat cats are not afraid of a law-abiding yet freedom-loving citizenry that also happens to be well-armed and well-trained? Have you already swallowed their "it's for the social good" swill? If so, congratulations comrade. You are now a proletariat minion and card-carrying party stooge.

Can't happen? Puh-leeze! Where have you been hiding and in what orifice has your head been stuck?

Downward spiral

The Left has already successfully desecrated the spiritualism and moral values of Judeo-Christianity, undermined the United States military and our national will to use it effectively, cheapened the value of life, ridiculed the American family unit, hijacked our university system, undermine constitutional rights and the legislative process through judicial fiat, and completely control most of the news media and entertainment outlets.

The Left long ago implemented and now control a permanent welfare class, established perpetual class and race hatred under the guise of diversity, continuously assault our economy and capitalistic system through environmental cultism, diverted nearly 40 percent of our nation's economy and treasure to socialist programs, collectively indoctrinate your children in state-run schools, impugned American values, and vilified your heritage, but only if you happen to be of European lineage.

So I again ask — where have you been and why are you clueless? And yet as bad and as anti-American as all this is, the really horrible stuff planned for the future cannot occur unless you are defenseless to stop it, which is why those men of genius, the Founding Fathers, wanted you armed in the first place.

Yesterday's trust, today's machinations

In one respect, those honorable visionaries were nevertheless somewhat naive in their trust of future generations; they could never imagine the depths of political deception and ever-burgeoning socialism now occurring. They naturally assumed all future Americans would cherish their hard-won independent nation, revere personal freedoms, and take pride in rugged self-reliance. How very wrong they were.

They did, however, understand and fear from bitter experience that too strong a central government could naturally evolve into one of a despotic nature and envisioned that all citizens should be armed to prevent such from occurring. They fervently believed in and thus constitutionally planned for rebellion against an oppressive central authority by enacting our cherished Bill of Rights.

It therefore should be no surprise that in a handful of uber-liberal, repressive jurisdictions, most notably California, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York State, New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C., there are already Draconian laws in place which either severely limit or outright ban the possession of firearms.

Ironically, it is precisely within these leftist-controlled bastions where our constitutional right to keep and bear arms has been savagely assaulted and raped that, per capita, the greatest number of violent crimes occur.

But let us get back to business and review some tangible facts:

According to the latest FBI report, the nation's total violent crime rate was 38 percent lower than in 1991. 1991 is used as a benchmark because in that year national violent crime rates hit an all-time high:

Individual categories of violent crime rates were also much lower in 2005 than in 1991. Murder was 43 percent lower, rape 25 percent, robbery 48 percent, and aggravated assault 33 percent lower.

In fact, a crime survey by the Bureau of Justice Statistics found violent crime to be lower in 2005 than at any time during the survey's 32-year history. "But B2, B2," you petulantly wheedle, "What do firearms have to do with any of this great news?" They say patience is a virtue, so get virtuous — I'll get to it directly.

The FBI report also showed that only one in four violent crimes was committed with a gun. Further, most of the violent crimes were robberies and aggravated assaults (not murders or rapes), and most were committed with knives, blunt objects, and bare hands.

This data directly disputes the incessant propaganda of the anti-gun nuts that more guns means more crime. How, you ask? Because the number of privately, legally-owned guns during the same period increased by more than 70 million!

And for all you radical anti-Americans out there who are jumping up and down right now, drooling uncontrollably and spastically pointing to a few little pockets of violent crime that are slightly higher than the national average and lie within otherwise benign regions, take some methylphenidate — that would be Ritalin for those of you in Okeechobee County. They're called statistical averages for a reason.

These very same nefarious, power-mad socialists who want to disarm America also falsely claim that stricter gun control laws are necessary to reduce the nation's murder rate. This is patently ludicrous, because despite the tremendous increase in gun ownership during the same period, the murder rate for the last seven years has been steady at 5.5 to 5.7 per 100,000 population.

It should be noted that today in America there are already more than 30,000 firearm and gun control laws on the books. Yup, we certainly do need yet another ridiculous gun law. Think there might be a hidden agenda here? Hmm? Remember, always follow the money. And the U.N.

Gun bans don't work - and never will

So if you still think that guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens as well as the right to concealed carry are not deterrents to crime, you must also believe that pigs fly. Remember those repressive, socialist fiefdoms mentioned earlier? Here's what gun bans and severe restrictions do for them:

Mind you, we can go on and on here, citing honest, uncooked, factual data from Chicago, California, or Massachusetts — but what's the point? It would be overkill, and pun intended.

But what about a progressive gun law state like B2's very own Florida? You know: The state that served as the model for more than 30 other states to enact concealed carry laws; The state that recently enacted the Castle Doctrine — meaning no more retreat if your life is threatened — you are free to shoot to defend yourself and others; The state about which was said blood would run in the streets and there would be shoot-outs on every corner. What about Florida's violent crime rate? Ahem ...

In 2005, Florida recorded a murder rate 13 percent lower than that of the rest of the country (4.96 per 100,000 vs 5.67 for the nation). This next one is especially for all you lying, anti-gun nut jobs out there: Florida's 2005 murder rate was 58 percent lower than it was in 1986 — the last year of extreme liberal Governor Bob Graham and his veto pen, and the last year before Florida's landmark Right-to-Carry law took effect.

Thank you, civil rights activist Marion Hammer and Governor Bob Martinez, for your common sense, American values, and reverence for the U.S. and Florida Constitutions.

Freedom rules, repression rots

Coincidence? I think not, and neither do you. C'mon, admit it, all you Constitution-hating wing nuts out there, singing Kumbaya whilst you and your media lapdogs plot your next governmental takeover. There is a direct correlation between lower crime rates and an armed citizenry. Repressive gun laws and total gun bans do not and never will work anywhere they exist, and violent crime does indeed increase dramatically when citizens are politically swindled out of their constitutional right to defend themselves.

Still not convinced? Review the latest statistics that reveal the dramatic increases in violent crime rates since total gun bans or severe firearms restrictions were enacted in Canada, Great Britain, and Australia. Review the mind-numbing costs to their taxpayers, forced to subsidize those socialist schemes that proved to be abject failures. Check out why New Zealand banned firearms, then realized their foolishness and rescinded such lunacy. I did, but I'm not going to do everything for you.

Remember, it is not now nor was it ever the responsibility or mission of any American law enforcement agency to protect its citizens from crime or harm before the fact. Ever. Law enforcement's primary responsibility and mission is to uphold and enforce the laws of the land, period.

Your immediate safety, your defense, and that of your family are your responsibility alone, and this fact has been challenged and upheld innumerable times at every level within the United States judiciary. However, be consoled in the thought that once you are dead or raped, a crime has been committed and the police can then perform their sworn duty and enforce the law by arresting the perpetrators and remanding them to justice. Believe me, they don't like you being dead any more than you do, but that is reality.

Now I want all of you nut jobs to take a break from destroying America and try flying that pig.
