A new mis-direction for America
Here it is Election Eve and we have heard it all. "Help us plan a New Direction For America," the Democrat Party and their willing Drive-By Media accomplices bleat. Attack after attack, personal smear after personal smear, cooked poll after cooked poll, the Left has bombarded America with hate, negativity, and despair — and precious little else.
The truth of the matter, if anyone cares anymore about such an archaic ideal as truth, is that the Democrat Party is bereft of ideas and bankrupt of moral principles. Democrats have not offered one single, solitary iota of a concrete plan to better the nation. Instead, we have been inundated with Bush is evil; Amnesty and open borders for illegals; Bush is evil; Retreat from Iraq without finishing the mission; Bush is evil; Eliminate all tax cuts; Bush is evil; and Impeach Bush. Did I mention Bush is evil?
But what, exactly, does President Bush have to do with this mid-term election? He cannot run again and besides, that issue has already been decided — that is why we voted in 2004. And what, exactly, is so horrible that we must change horses in the middle of the stream while the nation is at war with terrorists?
Why a new direction?
The stock market is at a new, all-time high and America's personal retirement plans are booming. Unemployment is at 25-year low. Oil prices are plummeting. Personal income taxes are at a 20-year low yet federal tax revenues are at all-time highs.
Tell me again why we need or would want a new direction?
The federal deficit is down almost 50 percent over last year, just as the Bush administration predicted it would be. Home values are up 200 percent over the past three years. Inflation is completely in check, steadily holding at 20-year lows.
Tell me again why we need or would want a new direction?
There has not been a single terrorist attack on United States soil since 9/11/01. Osama bin Laden is living in hiding and more than 95 percent of al Quaida's upper echelon are either dead or in custody. Several major terrorist attacks have already been thwarted by American and British Intelligence, including the recent planned attack to explode ten jumbo jets in flight.
Tell me again why we need or would want a new direction?
There is a freely-elected government in Iraq, where more than 70 percent of their citizens voted (America should have such a turnout). Saddam has been tried by the Iraqis, found guilty of mass murder and crimes against humanity, and sentenced to hang. Control of Iraqi provinces are being handed over to their U.S-trained military and police forces.
Tell me again why we need or would want a new direction?
Take off the single-issue blinders
Lose the House and we have been promised by leaders of the radical Left that we can expect retreat from and abandonment of Iraq and with it a betrayal of our superb troops and the Iraqi people (I have seen this movie once before, long ago, and it stinks), increased taxes, higher interest rates, economic stagnation, new and creative social welfare spending, and two years of impeachment farce. It is a fact that Osama and his murdering jackals have effusively stated their support for a Democrat victory.
Lose the Senate and we are guaranteed no conservative judges will sit on any federal bench, and no legislation worthy of signing will ever reach the president's desk.
Each American must focus on what is really happening in the world — the Left and the lapdog Drive-By Media have been blitzing us all with malaise, negativity, and despair. Democrats and their media lackeys have done their best to distract us with petty issues that are irrelevant to our national security, economic growth, and our military's welfare. They want us to stay at home so political opportunists have a chance to steal control of Congress.
Despite media-driven polling to the contrary, The B2 Journal sees Republicans retaining control of the House by a scant two seats and control of the Senate by one seat — but only if you lay your single-issue complaints aside and get to your voting precinct tomorrow.
Remember, Nancy Pelosi is measuring for new drapes in the Speaker's office...let's hope she and the rest of the socialist thugs are disappointed tomorrow evening.
