10 reasons to vote
Don't listen to the Drive-By Media. Focus on what is really happening in the world — they have been bombarding you with doom and negativity, as well as distracting you with petty issues that are irrelevant to our national security, economic growth, and our military's welfare. They want you to stay at home so defeatists have a chance to steal control of Congress — Don't let them dupe you.
You want real doom and gloom? You want real fear? Fine, then let The B2 Journal scare you. Here we are in a booming economy with virtually no unemployment, the stock market is setting new records every day, we have not had a single terrorist incident at home since 9/11, our military is demolishing the Islamist fascists on their soil rather than ours, and our boys and girls are committed to being there and finishing the job. And yet all you have been fed is a non-stop mainline of misery, malaise, and darkness.
Even when good, it's bad
Fuel prices are plummeting? Yes, but they may rise. Sky-rocketing economy? Yes, but it could end at any minute. Investments, retirement accounts, and the stock market booming? Yes, but there's a chance it might slow down. Tax revenues at an all-time high thanks to tax cuts and the deficit plummeting? Yes, but it's just a fluke. Terrorist surveillance and interdiction programs working? Yes, but they might get lucky and hit us. Troops kicking barbarian butt, morale high, and enlistments up? Yes, but ... ENOUGH!
It's time to awaken and realize that there are fanatical heathens out there who want us dead and our nation destroyed. It's time to realize that amazingly, there are Americans who want us to falter, to fail, to have the economy go sour so that they can regain control of the power they lost. It's time to realize that there are Americans in positions of power, craving more power, who really believe that America is evil and that we somehow deserve to have our citizens slaughtered, our economy ruined, and global prestige shattered. We deserve it!
To mislead the American people into believing the sky is falling, we have seen the Left's lapdogs, the Drive-By Media, fabricate negative stories, withhold or distort positive stories, retouch countless photos, and covertly falsify documents. We have been bombarded with these falsehoods and negativity every second of every minute of every hour of every day. Even Wormtongue was never so deceitful in The Lord of the Rings.
And not only is that despicable, it is frightening. But if that is not scary enough, then consider what will happen if this ilk takes control of the House of Representatives. Now is the time to lay aside your petty single-issue complaints, take stock of our many accomplishments even after the horrors of 9/11, and regard the big picture.
Much to lose, nothing to gain
Our tax cuts that are driving the booming economy will be eliminated and taxes will be increased. Our military will be forced to retreat, their mission unfulfilled, our sacrifices for naught, because their funding will be cut. With terrorists plotting to kill more of us each day and Iran and North Korea gearing up for nuclear weapons, our president will be forced to undergo falsely-premised impeachment proceedings. The Patriot Act that has helped keep our families safe from attack will be dismembered. And this is just for starters.
The Second Amendment of our cherished Bill of Rights? Be prepared for loss of liberty and Gun Ban, Part Two. Border security? Get ready for open borders. The U.N.? Say hello to America's next governing body.
These wrong-headed policy reversals did not spring from an overactive imagination — they have actually been promised by the people who will control the House should they scam enough Americans by November. Which brings us to the 10 Reasons To Vote. You want scary? This is scary:
- Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House
- John Murtha, Majority Leader
- Steny Hoyer, House Majority Whip
- Barney Frank, Financial Services Chair
- John Conyers, Judiciary Chair
- Henry Waxman, Government Reform Chair
- John Dingell, Energy and Commerce Chair
- Charles Rangel, Ways and Means Chair and Joint Committee on Taxation
- Jane Harmon, Intelligence Chair
- Tom Lantos, International Relations Chair
All of these people firmly believe that the War on Terrorism has outlived its usefulness as a concept. They believe that political reform (wealth redistribution and socialist programs), economic development (tax increases), public relations operations (blind eye to Islamist atrocities, weapons procurement, and abandonment of Israel), and goodwill offerings (bribes) will pacify the murdering Islamist fascists.
They believe that appeasement, isolationism, and subservience to the failed, corrupt world body known as the United Nations will ensure that we enjoy a peaceful doggy paddle in an ocean of ravenous predators. Ain't gonna happen, because when good negotiates with evil, evil always wins. Evil cannot be appeased; history has proven this is so.
Are those particular issues you hold dear important to you? Of course. Can our president and his administration do a better job in some areas? Absolutely. But now is not the time to nitpick or throw a tantrum. Now is not the time to punish them in a fit of pique because by doing so you punish the United States. Being disgruntled and being insane are not the same thing.
Conservative disappoinyment, voter apathy
I am a Reagan Conservative and President Bush is not. But guess what? There was only one Ronald Wilson Reagan so get over it. President Bush has done admirably well despite a tenure battered and beset by as much horror, upheaval, and disaster as anyone my age has ever personally witnessed during a presidency. We cannot in good conscience saddle this man with a traitorous Congress. We cannot stand by and allow this cabal to eviscerate the administration, strangle America's economy, and disembowel our nation's security simply because we don't agree with every single action that has occurred thus far.
That would be madness.
And let's set the record straight right here, right now. The same people I listed above cloak themselves with the mantra that "dissent is patriotic." I will grant that it is just as patriotic to disagree as it is to agree.
However, when political leaders actively seek to undermine American foreign policy, foster economic hardships on American families, increase the mortal risks to our brave military during wartime, openly side with foreign governments against the United States in international disputes, blatantly criticize the United States when visiting abroad, undermine America's security and safety programs, and provide daily doses of propaganda to America's sworn enemies, that is not dissent nor is it patriotic.
It is treason.
So on Voting Tuesday this November, get out of bed regardless of the weather, grumble, gripe, moan, complain — and then get on down to your voting precinct. Don't let the Drive-By Media and their New World overlords win by default. Prove them wrong because America needs you now.
