Democrat Party speaks at U.N.

by BD Pisani - 2006 sep 21

On Wednesday, our president and our nation were verbally assaulted before the United Nations General Assembly in what can only be described as a shocking testimony to the degeneracy of the U.N. Venezuela's Hugo Chavez and Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad both repeated the Democrat Party's "We Hate Bush And America" talking points and were celebrated like rock stars.

It is bad enough that these thugs spit in the collective face of American citizens, but the real insult is that the Drive-By Media has gleefully carried their water. President Bush received a smattering of applause after addressing what used to be a solemn gathering of the world's nation-states. His topic? His dream of true freedom for the oppressed of the world. Chavez and Ahmadinejad received cheers and standing ovations. Their topics? Hatred of President Bush and condemnation of the United States.

Democrat talking points

Both autocrats used the exact same slurs and personal attacks employed for the last six years by John Kerry, Nancy Peolsi, Charles Rangel, Howard Dean, al-Gore, Charles Schumer, Dick Durbin, Ted Kennedy, John Murtha, John Dingall, and the rest of the Democrat Party. Both dictators expressed the identical phrases and talking points as hammered home for the last six years by the New York Times, Newsweek, Washington Post, Time, LA Times, the Associated Press, Reuters, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, PBS, and the BBC.

Chavez and Ahmadinejad railed against our president, referring to him as the Devil, ignorant, a dictator, and a murderer. They equated the United States and our military to an imperial empire, a war-mongering dictatorship, Boycott Citgoand the cause of all of the world's strife. Every syllable they uttered was taken from Democrat Party speeches and press conferences. Every vile name and egregious insult they spat out at President Bush has been repeatedly vomited forth by every Democrat mentioned above.

And through it all, the Drive-By Media has dutifully served as the leftist bootlickers they are by attacking President Bush unmercifully on the world's stage for the last six years, even going so far as to fabricate stories, photos, and memos to give credence to lies. No assault has been too venomous and no insult too base.

Thanks to the Drive-By Media and the Democrat Party, Chavez and Ahmadinejad confidently denigrated the United States and President Bush because they believe the vast majority of the American public agrees with them. Both were treated with great respect all over American television last evening, and both were disingenuously conferred with the same status and stature as President Bush.

Corrupt world body, shameful politics

President Bush, his administration, and the Republican Party are of the opinion that any response in kind to Chavez and Ahmadinejad would be beneath the dignity of the presidency and the nation. They are correct. But what of our radical leftists, the new Democrat Party, the ones who tutored these madmen?

Today, a few democrats, most notably Rangel and Pelosi, anemically objected to the dictators' harangue, but they couldn't really object too loudly, now could they? The Democrat Party has repeatedly said far worse and in fact are guilty of schooling Chavez and Ahmadinejad on the finer points of Bush and America bashing. Besides, Democrat Representative Rangel does not want to offend Chavez and lose all that free Citgo gasoline for his Harlem constituents, now does he?

The United Nations is dead as an effective, ethical world body. This fact must now surely be obvious to even the most obtuse and gullible of America's citizens. Since the U.N. has proven itself to be corrupt at worst and ineffective at best in honestly dealing with world crises, the United States should pull out, withdraw all financial support, and demand that the U.N. be removed from American soil.

But perhaps most troubling of all of this is: Where is the outrage? Am I the only American left who is seething with anger? Have we fallen so far as a people that we meekly allow dictators to sully American soil while they confidently pander their lies, abuse our president, and besmirch the greatness of our republic?

Where is the outrage indeed.
