Iraq report at odds with media agenda
The radical Left is obsessed with pulling out of Iraq before that nation is self-sufficient — this is nothing new nor is it disputable. It is also a documented fact that America's Drive-by Media have and will broadcast or print anything, fact or fiction, that facilitates achieving this goal for their leftist masters.
Why? Because the Drive-by Media has been hijacked and subverted into an ideological extension of the Democrat Party, with the root of its corruption of ethics and objectivity stemming back to the 1960s and the Vietnam War. Although a handful of media outlets such as The Washington Times and Fox News attempt to offer more all-inclusive reportage, the DBM "records of note" consistently skew or omit news that conflicts with the Left's agenda.
This is not opinion; Gross media bias has been irrefutably authenticated on myriad occasions. But thanks to the New Media that includes independent Internet sources, a growing legion of astute and determined bloggers, and of course the spearhead of the lance, talk radio, the poisonous snake that is Drive-by Media is being de-fanged and its venom nullified. Outright media fabrication of documents and news reports, statistical manipulation, photo alteration, and photo staging have been bared for all the world to see.
In his latest correspondence from Iraq to The B2 Journal, Todd Deehl illustrates yet another example of media distortion and lies by omission. Todd provides a status briefing by Major General William B. Caldwell IV USA, Spokesman, Multi-National Force - Iraq; and Major General Joe Peterson, Commander, Civilian Police Assistant Training Team.
Good news is not reported
What is strikingly evident from reading the briefing transcript is just how little of the positive Iraqi news is being filtered down to the American people. Please use the link provided below to read the entire transcript — you will learn of events, strategies, and statistics regarding our nation's Iraq mission that are simply not being reported (Todd's email address has been slightly altered to thwart spam harvester robots — you can figure it out should you wish to correspond with him):

The coalition and Iraqi security forces are capitalizing on the initiative and momentum from the ongoing crackdown against insurgents in Baghdad. Gen Pace, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff visited and despite acknowledging the possibility of civil war, was optimistic about US troop reductions beginning later this year.
The following is a press release from my Commanding General, MG Peterson [note: link provided below - b2]. A bit long but provides you an idea of the complexity and progress of our mission. If you want to know more or view the slides, the following link will take you to our website.
Take care, Todd
It is pleasing to note that, true to my own recollection of military briefings, the release is devoid of the usual media fluff, omissions, or distortions. However, careful reading of some of the media's questions will reveal their hope that our Iraqi mission will end in failure. You can read the general's press release that includes photos and slides by visiting the unit's website.
The propagandists comprising the Drive-by Media, bidden by special-interest groups and their Democrat National Committee masters, will never relate to you that which is detailed in General Caldwell's briefing. They despise capitalism, they loathe our government, and they hold our military in contempt. But most of all they hate an anti-socialist America, its ideals, its greatness, and its uniqueness in the world.
Thank you New Media, our superb military personnel in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the majority of Americans who honor and cherish the United States.
