Celebration of our mutilated troops

by BD Pisani - 2006 jun 23

I waited for Drive-By Media's gory, non-stop coverage of the extreme torture, mutilation, and beheading of Privates Menchaca and Tucker. I waited for liberal legislators and activists, usually so very quick and vocal in their everyday condemnation of America, to demand retribution. I waited for my fellow Americans to roar with outrage...

I waited in vain.

I never heard Democrat Howard Dean compare the al-Qaeda terrorists to Hitler, Stalin, and Pol Pot, or label the terrorists as butchers and murderers.

I never saw the Daily Kos, Code Pink, or any other Democrat blog denounce the barbarism practiced by terrorists or keep a daily tally of our butchered soldiers.

I never heard Democrat Cindy Sheehan denouncing the terrorists as murderers or holding press conferences demanding that they be brought to justice or shot.

I never heard Democrats Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton denouncing the terrorists. I never saw them marching in protest.

I never saw the ACLU, Amnesty International, or Democrat Jimmy Carter's lap dog Ramsey Clark filing motions in the International Court to prosecute war crimes against al-Qaeda.

I never heard Democrat Senators John Kerry, Russ Feingold, and Chuck Schumer screaming about the war crimes committed against the United States.

I never heard Democrat Senator Dick Durbin demanding that our tortured and murdered U.S. soldiers should have been given wholesome meals each day, clean clothing to wear, proper exercise, and be inspected by the International Red Cross.

I never heard any Democrats in the House and Senate express shame for their actions and words that have helped undermine our nation, our president, our mission, our soldiers, and our goal in defeating wanton terrorism and murder.

These are the people and organizations who have led the charge to vilify America in the eyes of the world and to abandon her military men and women on the field of battle. These are the people and organizations who excuse mindless atrocities against our soldiers at the hands of the foreign terrorists in Iraq because they truly believe our brave young men and women are barbaric and are simply reaping what they have sown.

While Democrats have busily and wrongly disparaged our treatment of non-military murderers and terrorists at Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib as outrages against the Geneva Conventions, they have never uttered one word of outrage over the barbaric slaughter of our own servicemen. Never forget the following:

Defiled so horribly, so cruelly, that DNA was required to identify the remains.

Remember that the next time you hear a pampered, home-grown leftist assert that it is somehow justifiable because of our treatment of terrorist prisoners. Or that we're getting what we deserve because we started it. Or that they are glad because maybe it will cause us to abandon the 27 million Iraqis, run home, and fight the murderers here.

Remember that the next time you hear Islam falsely labeled as the "religion of peace." The few murdering swine who hold the entire nation of Iraq hostage are devoted to an ideology and a religion which warmly embrace torture, mutilation, and defilement of men, women, and children.

There must come a time when the American people are so outraged that they demand that all terrorists be given no quarter. When they demand the liberal leash be removed from our military's neck. When they demand that our brave military be allowed to do what they are superbly trained to do -- kill all terrorists -- and by any means.

But most of all, there must come a time when those of the Left understand that by their words and actions, they are providing hope and comfort to murderers while celebrating the slaughter of Americans.

This is not partisan politics. This is an abomination.
