Is Paris burning? Yup, and so is the rest of France

Ahem. I hate to say I told you so, but ... I told you so. In The French non-connection, a previous B2 article, I stated that France, Germany, and any of the other European nations with large Muslim populations would one day pay for their soft approach toward Islamo-facism and terrorists.

I predicted that France, with its 12 percent Muslim population, secret Iraqi oil-for-food deals, blind jealousy of the United States, blind hatred of Jews and Israel, love affair with Palestinian terrorists, and ugly history with Algeria, would someday suffer most at the hands of its own Islamic "citizens." Well over 300 cities and towns across France have now suffered through more than two weeks of "rioting" by these citizens. But the fact remains that these are not just riots; This is an Islamic intifada, and I have no compassion to spare.

Reaping just desserts

Haughtily sniffing as only the French can do, they vilified America after the Los Angeles riots in 1992, as well as for false charges of racial bias trumped up and trumpeted to the world by the Drive-by Media in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The French pompously asserted that such shameful acts could never happen in France, the land of social equality and brotherhood. I suppose they believed their own delusion because it was only after the tenth night (Ten Nights!) of war in the streets that French President Jacques Chirac finally convened an "emergency security meeting" to address the crisis. Meanwhile, the strife continues.

"What is happening in Paris is the textbook definition of terrorism: Planned violence against innocents in support of a political goal."

France has been viciously critical of the United States and Israel for too long, and has striven mightily to undermine the security and prestige of both nations. According to them, appeasement is the solution for the Palestinians, appeasement is the solution for al-Qaida, and appeasement was the solution in Iraq - but only when the price of turning a blind eye to murder and terrorism meant lucrative illegal deals and payoffs garnered by French businesses and politicians.

Racist mob rule

What began as unrest among a few Arab youths angered by the accidental electrocution of two young men in a Paris suburb is now 300 French towns on fire, with the violence increasing daily. On Monday, November 7, the violence spread across the border into Germany and Belgium, and in Denmark Muslim toughs told elected officials and law enforcement agencies to stay out of their neighborhoods or face the consequences. What will these nations do now that they cannot blame all this on President Bush? Come clean? Admit their errors?

On the contrary - Socialist Europe, the elites of America's Left, and their Drive-by Media hacks - those who hate President Bush and the United States, embrace big government, and are enraptured with the French socialist dream - are strangely silent. Silent about the failure of European socialism in general and the French social model in particular. And by the way, what is happening in Paris is the textbook definition of terrorism: Planned violence against innocents in support of a political goal.

Remember that definition the next time you hear the word "riot" associated with this latest assault on the West.
