Socialists are too hateful to comprehend
Robin Wright, a minor Washington Post reporterette, is offended. The president of the National Organization for Women (NOW), a minor radical leftist group, is offended. Old Media, well along the road to becoming a collective minor news source, is offended. Why? Because Supreme Court Justice nominee John Roberts quipped in the 1980s that he was not sure whether "it was a good thing for a woman to go back to school to become a lawyer," and that Girls Scouts selling cookies were "little hucksters."
They and their leftist media allies would have a case against Roberts if what he wrote in a memo was true -- but it is not, at least not the way they portray it. You see, folks, John Roberts did something as a respected, somber jurist that no forever-angry socialist could ever do -- he was joking.
That's right. He was being mirthful, light-hearted, and goofing around. Ms. Wright, the NOW thugs, most Democrat politicians, radical special interest groups, the WashingtonPost, NewYorkTimes, Newsweek, LosAngelesTimes, CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS, CNN, MSNBC, and Air America socialists and all of the anti-Americans they represent failed to pick up on his humor. Why? Because they are blindingly hate-filled and intolerant of any ideas other than their own; They want to destroy President Bush, his administration, and all who support him. That is how they justify lying to the American people and causing harm to the United States.
Here's the truth. 1. John Roberts' wife is an attorney. John Roberts' wife is a very good practicing attorney with a career all her own. Guess how she became an attorney? SHE WENT BACK TO SCHOOL! 2. John Roberts is a decent man and a caring philanthropist. Guess which organization he regularly donates to, along with so many others? THE GIRL SCOUTS!
Despite those facts, this is what the hateful socialists want well-meaning but easily-duped people to believe: John Roberts is a conservative. Therefore, he has to be a racist, sexist, bigot, homophobe. We just have to go find the proof because we know he is, because he's a conservative and he's been nominated by Bush and he worked for Reagan.
They are wrong. John Roberts is a brilliant, honest man suffering the slings and arrows of idiots.
