Red Ken's alliance with terror
London's mayor, "Red" Ken Livingstone, told terrorists after yesterday's bombings, "whatever you do, however many you kill, you will fail." Oh really. The Jew-hating Livingstone also just embraced Sheikh Qaradawi as his guest in London and defended his Islamic call for terrorism while calling George W. Bush "the greatest threat to life on this planet." What rot.
That al-Qaeda murdered and dismembered nearly 40 people yesterday morning runs afoul of what this leftist has been preaching for so long. al-Qaida's latest attempt to drive Europeans out of Iraq clearly illustrates the dire threats facing Western civilization.
Iraq is terror war's central front
It is now evident that the war in Iraq is not a distraction from the War on Terror - they are totally connected and have always been. Terrorists will do anything to stop democratic reform in the Middle East. al-Qaida just proved President Bush's contention that Iraq is the terror war's central front by declaring, "We continue to warn the governments of Denmark and Italy and all crusader governments that they will receive the same punishment if they do not withdraw their troops from Iraq and Afghanistan."
It is now evident that appeasing terrorists cannot buy peace. There is a direct connection between Madrid's surrender to al-Qaida last March and the slaughter in London. Spain's socialist Prime Minister Zapatero was overwhelmingly elected three days after the March 11, 2004, Madrid train bombings, essentially at al-Qaida's request. Immediately upon election, he rewarded the terrorists by withdrawing Spanish troops from Iraq. His appeasement taught al-Qaida that some Western nations are weak and easily blackmailed by terrorism.
It is now evident that the enemy isn't just Osama bin Laden. The Left has whined repeatedly that bin Laden and Iraq's Jordanian mercenary terrorist al-Zarqawi were not connected...until an old tape recording surfaced that caught bin Laden endorsing the Jordanian. Leftists think that we will win the war when Osama bin Laden is captured and tried before the International Criminal Court.
They have been proven wrong. The Left sniffs that since President Bush has not apprehended bin Laden, he has failed in the War on Terror. They have been proven wrong. Iraq, Syria, Saudi Arabia, al-Qaida, and Islamic terrorists everywhere have always been connected, have worked together, and shall continue to do so until they are exterminated.
It is now evident that condoning the mass immigration of and endorsing the extreme, politically-correct tolerance for radical Islam is lethal for Western civilization. Events in The Netherlands and now Great Britain illustrate that any Western nation tolerating Islamic public ravings for its violent overthrow could conceivably come to see that happen.
Embracing the enemy
It is now evident that the Left in Western nations hate their own countries so much that they embrace the very people who would gladly kill them and their children as well. These are the same people who vilify President Bush daily and who equate the honorable, brave soldiers carrying out the War on Terror to members of the Nazi Party, Stalin's regime, and the murderous Pol Pot. Shameless.
Front Page Magazine summed up what America's home-grown elites say daily: Leftist Congresswoman Jane Harman, D-CA, responded to Thursday's bombing by stating, "the notion that we are fighting terrorists in Iraq so we don't have to fight them in our cities is clearly false." Senator Barbara Boxer, D-CA, in a speech given the day before the London bombings, said, "terrorism was the result of the war, not a reason for waging it and so we are in greater danger." Boxer then demanded a "time frame for the subsequent withdrawal of our troops."
There's more. Senator Dick Durbin, D-IL, compared the well-fed detainees of Guantanamo to the emaciated inmates of Bergen-Belsen. Senator Ted Kennedy, D-MA, called Abu Ghraib "George Bush's gulag" and insisted the president cooked up the Iraq war before 9/11.
Representative Charlie Rangel, D-NY, helpfully added last week that Bush didn't launch this theory on his own -- several prominent Jews assisted him. Amnesty International, the International Red Cross, the ACLU, the Center for Constitutional Rights, and scores of leftist organizations repeat the jiahdists' talking points as though they were the words of Allah, perpetuating al-Qaida's propaganda war gratis. Apparently, even the occasional mass murder will not dissuade them from clasping bloodstained hands in a united assault against the United States.
Must we wait until these depraved thugs use a nuclear weapon? Is that what it will take for the Left to rediscover that they are also Americans? We in the United States and our stalwart allies must stay the course until the murdering terrorists have no more safe havens.
