Blast from the past

Well, well, well. I received a welcome post from my friend Anthony B. today. Tony is a hoot. He served as a member of the IBM corporate ilk that pervade the Armonk-Purchase, NY, area. He’s a man of integrity, ever the professional, yet is one of the most subtle, make-you-laugh-out-loud ball-choppers you will ever meet.

Tony’s a special person and was with me during my IBM resignation week/business meeting (fat chance any 'business' was accomplished) in Tucson, AZ, when I met my beloved Irene. He covered for me while Irene and I spent every day and night together. If you want an example of a corporate professional who applied a personable, humanistic touch to everyone with whom he dealt, Tony’s your guy. He's the best.

Retired now, Tony’s been writing driver blurbs throughout the NASCAR off-season (a Westchester County, Blue State NASCAR fan, go figure) for FoxSports.com. This season, try clicking on any driver’s name anywhere in the NASCAR area to find the 'Fantasy News' section. Or look for his 'Midpack Attack' column in FoxSports.com, MSNBC, Sandbox.com, ThatsRacin.com and RotoWorld.com.

I now use an URL-generated email link on this Web site. It requires that the user open an extra page but is relatively safe from the evil spam-bots. It’s neat but has only been tested from this page by myself thus far. Check it out by using the Contact link in the top menu. It will help me to evaluate the function.

If you want to visit a neat site and pick up your own URL for email, redirects, or hiding main URLs, check out TinyURL.com. Just follow the instructions carefully or you could get gibberish...Caveat Emptor.
